Hello first of all as this is my first post, I hope we can creater a community here were we can share our opinions and love of comedy. So this month in Hull there is a Comedy Festival and they have big names such as Mark Watson (who I will be reviewing Next Week) Sarah Millican, Milton Jones,Russell Kane and Ross Noble. I have been Lucky enough to see Two of the shows so far Patrick Monahan and Andrew Lawrence who in my next post I will talk about. So Patrick Monahan he isn't a well known name but The Sun newspaper has said he is one of the top ten comics to be seen in 2010, he certainly is. You may of seen him on Paul O Grady or on Sky TV,BBC or any other major channels. He is an Iranian/Irish/Geordie and he is incredibly funny the venue was a very small music room but In a small room came a big character, Patrick came onto the stage instantly ripping the place apart dragging curtains away to discover drum kits and musical intruments and even managing to get an audience member to walk around stage like a panda! He has a rapid wit with set pieces woven in with improviational routines, he even took all of the audience out to the bar at the break! Hilarious New and fresh talent and should be as big as Michael Mcintyre!
